Rebecca is an artist, designer and photographer. Together with her experience in all these niches she creates organic, simple and timeless pieces to compliment your photography sessions. Baby Joy Studios was created in 2011 as Rebecca designed headbands to compliment her own photography work. Soon creating photography props grew into a passion to create for other photographers as well. Baby Joy Studios products are now shipped and used worldwide. Rebecca blends a natural artistic passion with her comprehensive post secondary education and extensive world experiences. She holds a Visual Art Diploma and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Photography Major from the prestigious Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (Vancouver, BC). Rebecca also studied a photo-media specialty at the Australian National University (Canberra).
Her technical skills have been refined worldwide from working in studios located in Vancouver and as far as the UK. Her travel photography has ranged far and wide in diverse countries and cultures including Korea, Japan, Thailand, Australia, England, Sweden, Mexico, West Indies, United States and Canada. Actually living and working in some of these countries has given Rebecca unique opportunities to capture not only the detail but also the spirit of people and places. She truly believes that every person is uniquely influenced by his or her experiences. Many of which are too important to be forgotten and best captured on film.
Rebecca is currently based in her hometown of Victoria, BC. Her studio is both contemporary and creative, reflecting her own style and personality.
